Blogging. It's something I have contemplated for a couple of years now, but have never had the courage to attempt. If I have heard it once, I've heard it a hundred times: "Hey, you're a writer, why don't you start a blog"? Uh-huh, sure. "About what" I would say to myself. Then I would think, I suppose I could always write about life on the Big River, or how about "Life with Stanley," the trials and tribulations (and yes the joys) of being the human parent of a wily Weimaraner. Besides, I am not the most computer savvy person, so I never had the courage to go forward.
The funny thing is that in my 25-plus years in the newspaper business, I was rarely accused of being a wallflower. In fact, I was pretty confident. But this, this is something different. It's like baring my soul to the world. That's OK, though. I will get through this, and I am also pretty sure that in time, I will find I actually enjoy it!
